And now a message from our sponsor

I am amazed oftentimes at the immaturity of many adults, especially those claiming to be Christians. So it is refreshing, to say the least, when I see such wisdom and purpose in Hannah, who is only six. She created a card on her own initiative and without help so that she could share it with someone as a tract.

Saints 5K Family Fun Run

We had a good time this morning at the Saints Fun Run. The run was to help raise money for homeschool students who can not afford to attend sports. The girls ate their first snow cones. I ran and just kept thinking "breathe, breathe, don't pass out in front of all these people"! The girls must have had a good charge from all of the snow cones, cookies and popcorn - Hannah and Alena ran one mile and even little Erilynn ran a victory lap with me. She is so cute and likes to hike up her skirt when she runs, or maybe its that her underwear is falling down.

Hannah and Alena finished their year of sports with CHAA Saints (Christian Homeschool Athletic Association) on Thursday and received their certificates. We celebrated by going out for ice cream. Alena had mint ice cream with gummy bears on top. Hannah had blue ice cream with Kit-kat on top and Erilynn who is two and loves blue had blue ice cream with two gummy bears on top. Then Hannah and Alena each picked out a new outfit and here they are wearing them for the first time.

Must gain mobility, so I can do mischief...

What is one of the greatest gifts in the world? Sons! I was working from home a few weeks ago (2006-04-25) and Hollye had put both boys on a little mat by my desk while I was working.

I looked over and William was on his hands and knees. His first crawl and I was the first to see it!!! I hurriedly grabbed the camera and got him in the action. Isn't he incredible?!? I know, I know, it's a crawling baby, but he is way more special than your ordinary average baby out there!

AWANA is great!!!

Last Wednesday Alena had her year end Awana celebration. She had a big smile while singing the cubbie song as loudly as possible. My sewing skills are really improving with all the patches she keeps earning for the verses she has memorized! She is the cutest cubbie ever!

Hannah could hardly wait for her Sparks ceremony. She kept working on her Hiker book, trying to memorize her last few verses and finish her prayers for her missionaries. She kept telling me that it was only a few more days until her "special day". She was so excited that we were all going to be there to see her, that there was going to be pizza, that she might get her second book award, etc., etc., etc.! It was an exciting night for Hannah, she received several awards including a trophy for Sparkie of the Year. She has memorized so much scripture this year and we are so proud of her!

Wild Imaginations!

Erilynn and Alena love to play together, especially with their dolls and toy animals. They have such good imaginations, especially Alena. I asked Erilynn what she was playing and she told me that the people in the shoes were in spaceships and they were going to a doctor appointment.

Alena then interjected that when they got to space, then they fell out and fell down and broke their leg. Then they had to have the animals help them up on the bed to a button (a hole) and when they pressed the button then they got better, but it was God that made them better.

While I was sitting there, I became the newest toy. Alena promptly established her animals (and a few people) in the nest (my hair) and they flew around gathering food for their young. Then they became a hive of bees and started buzzing around angrily.

House For Sale!!!

Anyone need an over-priced, poorly built south Florida 3 bed 2 and half bath home (everything is poorly built down here)? Apparently not in this market. We put the house up for sale in late February and about 4 others (in our neighborhood) followed suit the following week. We have not had very much traffic - not like we expected.

Hollye keeps sending prospective buyers over to see the Falde's house across the street. We want theirs to sell even worse than ours because they plan to start a church in South Carolina pretty soon. Hollye and I were discussing renting as an option. Maybe the market won't be so depressed in a year.
