So you thought the blog was dead. Well don't feel bad. The world thought Jesus was dead at one time, but they were wrong too.
I apologize that we have been out-of-touch for so long. I will try to make up for it. The reasons for our seeming demise are many:
1. We met some old friends of ours (The Rookers) at Costco. They had moved to the area and we had no idea till we met. We went to their house and had a nice visit.
2. Our renter in Florida split on us and left us a huge mess to clean up. Hollye now holds the official title "Queen of Clean" after that escapade.
3. We took a nice vacation to Dollywood (in Pigeon Forge, TN) and stayed at a hotel that had a really cool swimming pool and slide.
4. We went to visit the relatives in St. Louis when Jeannine was in town.
5. I had surgery (laparoscopic nissen fundoscopy) and was incapacitated for a good week.
6. We invited the Rookers to our house to return their hospitality.
7. There are more, but due to post-traumatic stress syndrome, they are fuzzy.
Needless to say, it has been quite insane with all that plus 5 kids to juggle. Speaking of which, we did another portrait Sunday and got some good pictures (of the kids, the ones of us didn't get past the editor).

I'm pretty much constantly amazed that such good-looking children came from us!
