Back in October...

We're pretty good at finding free or very cheap stuff to do with the family. Here we are at a local pumpkin patch.

Hannah looking really cute.

Erilynn, Christian (note fresh scar on forehead) and William.

Five people doing the "chicken dance" in a corn maze. Is this an old episode of "Hee Haw"?

Another weekend we went on the church "Father/Child camp-out". The 3 girls were old enough to go and we had a great time hiking, fishing, camping and climbing these weird vertical wooden objects.

Miscellaneous fun...

Erilynn decided that she was all grown up and in need of some eye shadow. Since she, of course, does not own any, she decided to use some lip gloss instead. Glamorous, no?

The girls and friend Ashley (in the clown suit) preparing to put on a show for us.

Christian decided that his recent concussion was not enough so during a game of tag, he decided to take a dive head first into the hall tree. An hour later, the doctors were gluing his forehead back together. I told Hollye, "We have some Superglue in the garage. I could have saved myself around $800."

I think it was puppet day at AWANA. Hannah's is a king, Alena's an Indian and Erilynn made a princess. They did a fantastic job!

Kentucky vacation...

In late August we were able to take a short vacation to Kentucky (Most vacations are short with 5 children let me tell ya).

We came across a park in the middle of Lexington dedicated to horses. The boys enjoyed riding the young colts.

Alena took Hannah and Erilynn on a gentle walk.

And this? Well, I really don't know what to say... (click the photo to enlarge)

Family Portraits...

John (my brother) and Amanda came down to see us back in October and was nice enough to take some pictures of the family.

Look familiar? The Christmas card we sent out was similar.

Hannah, Alena and Erilynn looking so cute.

This is a cool picture because Christian is caught spinning the Indian drum/paddle thingy.

William and Christian.

Another 9/11, Another birthday for our twins...

Only 4 months behind in my blogging now...

Christian (left) and William showing off the PEZ dispensers they got for their birthday.

Hollye did a dump-truck cake for the boys. Christian is sampling to see if it is any good.

William taking a more liberal-sized sampling.

Cowboys and Indians...

Christian protecting the homestead from dangerous natives.

One of the dangerous natives. (Alena was extremely creative making this costume by herself using tape, construction paper, clothes pins and a paper feather)

Hannah turns 9...

For Hannah's ninth birthday she wanted to have a pet party, where everyone dressed up as cat or a dog.
Here she is with all her guests.

I don't know who these party-crashers were!

Hannah told us she either wanted a camera or a cell phone. Here she is with the camera and the guy who's too cheap to buy any more cell phones.

Grandpa (my father) came down for her birthday and we had fun playing Hannah's new game Zooreka.
