The Exciting Vacation

So we were all ready to visit Granny and Grandad and had left early in the morning .  We were about three hours away from home and all of a sudden bang, bang, bang, bang , bang, something was wrong with our twelve year old Toyota mini van!   Daddy backed up the last exit and into a parking lot and our car died.  Then we called a tow truck to take us to the Toyota Car Dealership in Jackson, Tennessee.

Everybody got out (except our dog Brigitte and her six puppies), and our van got pulled onto the back of the tow truck.
That is probably the last picture you will see of our mini van.  We sat in the car dealership for several hours before renting a car and driving back home.
The next day we bought a brand new Toyota mini van (more hours of sitting in a Toyota Car Dealership), but, hey, it's got a lifetime warranty on the engine.  If the engine falls apart, we get it fixed for free!  We sold our old van for a big whopping $200! The day after that we took Brigitte and her puppies with us and tried the whole thing again.  This time we got to Texas safely and had a great time visiting family.
This is the inside of our new van.  It has 8 seats and all the modern conveniences, like a back up camera, and a DVD player (which of course all of us children were excited about)!
We joke that Brigitte's puppies will be well traveled!
