Since last year, the girls have been taking instrument lessons through the
Northside's Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA). It is administrated by our church and has great teachers and reasonable prices.
Back in May (that's how far behind I am in blogging), they had a recital and all the children played for us.

Alena plays the guitar and did a nice rendition of "This Land is Your Land".

Hannah plays the violin (that's a fiddle for all you southerners) and played a French folk song.
This is Hannah's best friend Ashley. She plays the violin as well.

Very good.
Thanks.
Fred.
It takes lots of practice to learn a musical instrument.
Hannah and Alena are doing very well.
Good for them.
Fred
Hi This is Uncle George,
I love to see you playing music. When we were your age and our cousins came to visit your great grandma Eva would call for a talent show. We would spend all day thinking of what to play. Did you know that I played the accordion? Your Grandpa Paul played the trumpet and aunt Joan played the piano. Aunt Pat played the flute and Uncle Alfred played the trombone.
What fun we all had.
Just like you.
love,
George
